Getting close to Christmas aint it? In fact Cruising Group have their annual Christmas Party on the hardstand next Saturday. This year it will be in the form of a BYO everything BBQ and sleepover on your boat. There will be the obligatory carol singing group, there will be prizes for the most interesting / spectacular / bizarre Xmas get up, and there will be some Gaffers awards for any interesting gaffs committed over the previous year. In the case of the latter awards, if you know of any situation worthy of mention don’t hesitate to email me at willm@hotkey.net.au immediately.

Incidentally, all members of RBYC are welcome to attend this function. At time of writing (Tuesday) the forecast for Saturday looks good. I don’t wish to put a ‘moz’ on it but most years we’ve suffered cold / windy conditions. Stalwart cruisers usually turn up regardless.

The Committee has organised to take out whatever chairs and tables the Club can produce, but if you own any folding chairs or tables you might like to bring them along to avoid sitting on a blanket on the concrete. (That’s OK too of course)

Come and join us for a sumptuous 7 course limited choice Christmas Day luncheon complete with all the trimmings. Keep your eyes out for a large man with a white beard in a red suit. He knows if you have been naughty or nice!
