CLUB RACING
- Hearne's Heroes Wednesday Afternoon racing - please note it is a 1400 hrs start and it is a pursuit race.
- Twilight Race 3 tomorrow night Wednesday 30th Jan. Click here for pursuit start times
- I have 5 people wanting to try sailing in this twilight race. Please email me if you can accomodate them on your boat. sailing@rbyc.org.au Don't all have to go on the same boat.
- This Saturday there is 1 (one) race for each division and not two as originally scheduled in the sailing program booklet.
- Combined Divisions - Malta Cup (IRC) has no supplementary sailing instructions. Refer to RBYC Sailing Instructions Issued 1 Oct 2005. For courses refer to Part IV Centre Courses in the same Sailing Instructions.
- Dragons are having a special Lady Skippers race. Good idea to check your boat insurance policy now. As noted in the RBYC Sailing Program you are also having a Dragon show day this Sunday???
- We may miss some of our Etchells this weekend as some will be going over to Metung for a regatta there.
- Race 4 of the Sunday Pursuit race is on this Sunday starting at 10am. Hope someone other than our volunteers turn up.
- Anyone entering Race 4 of the Port Phillip Two Handed better enter themselves with Hobsons Bay YC this week.
- The Melbourne Summer Boatshow is on this weekend. Click here for details I'll be in the office all week waiting for my free ticket.
CREW NOTICEBOARD
After receiving some valuable feedback from a few of our skippers, we have tightened up on expectations from eager non members wanting to try sailing. From what I am hearing, many skippers seem disappointed after ringing around some of the names appearing on the website and even after taking them aboard for a race or two. We will do our best from the office in sifting through those that can commit to weekly racing and those just wanting a casual sail. But do keep your comments and ideas coming in. We are trying to help you out.
