RBYC Racing News

HAVE YOU SEEN???

Dear Members On Tuesday 19th August 2008 a yellow Mazda was parked in the downstairs car park, as many of you may be aware this is the Sailing Administrators car. Unfortunately on this said day an anonymous bully involved the Mazda in a tragic accident of the worst kind, the car was hit and then left to expose its red underside. As the poor Mazda was left, wounds gaping and exposed to the elements the perpetrator fled the scene to station itself somewhere else in the carpark. This blatant disregard for other persons' property has left members and staff aghast with disbelief that such injustice has been done or would be done in this 'Friendly and Trustworthy club'.

If you have been witness to or feel guilty of this heinous 'Hit and Run' crime please contact the office or Sarah directly preferably with your insurance details or cheque book, you may also remain anonymous if you wish and send via post lengthy explanation.

LAST WEEK OF RACING:

Saturday: 1st Place in the Winter Pursuit Series was Red Rocks skippered by Shaun Harris, 2nd Place went to San Rafael & 3rd HotShot click here for full results

Wednesday: It was a fairly quiet afternoon today with many of the regular Hearnes Heroes missing in action...the lure of so called warmer weather in far north Queensland had called for many to desert the dedicated fleet. Just because not many raced today did not mean the race was without excitment! far from it in fact, Vintage Burgandy managed to tear its mainsail in half and still complete the race without coming last. On speaking with their new recruit Christian (new RBYC Personal Trainer)- sailing is turning out to be alot of hard work! Sunkiss ended up winning for the day even after being penalised 1 minute from last week! I hope Heather likes a challenge because of the win Sunkiss will no doubt be penalised again. click here for full results
