RBYC Junior Sabot Program enrolements now open!

The Sabot program starts again on Sunday 5th October and we have a limited number of places available which we are allocating right now. Our program is very popular and places have already begun to fill quickly. However, we will try to give preference to existing Club members.

The Sabot program teaches young sailors aged from 8 years of age. We teach beginners up to Racing skills. Sailing happens every Sunday morning with breaks during school holidays. The program is now an accredited Yachting Australia Training Centre.

Attached is the new enrolment form which we ask to be completed and returned to us no later than 19th September. In addition, members of the program are required to be Junior members of RBYC. Please download  RBYC membership form and forward along with the enrolment form.  As we cannot guarantee places, early receipt of your form is strongly recommended.

Please mail the form to:

Sabot Treasurer

RBYC Sabot

C/O 86 Claremont Ave

Malvern Vic 3144

You DO NOT need to send any money as the fees will be separately invoiced by the club.

Note that the first day of the new season will be Sunday 5th October - mark it in your calendar. Further information will be sent to you before this date.

Look forward to seeing you

Marcus wins worlds!
The last day of the 2008 Velocitek Contender Worlds and the wind was up and the bay was whipped with whitecaps. By the time competitors hit the racecourse, the rollers were big (boats would disappear beneath the six foot swell), but the wind was diminishing steadily, so by the third and last race it was marginal trapezing.
